Meet Eliza | Model @ QUE | Sydney
1. Please introduce yourself…
Hello, my name is Eliza Louise Ward, I am 18 years old, just finished my HSC, and I model!
2. Where are you from?
I’m from Sydney NSW, Campbelltown
3. Describe your style…
My style can be described as (and this is quoting off other people) boho, unique and fashion forward. I like to say my style can be influenced by different eras, its kind of annoying liking the fashion from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s, it can be too much at times for myself and other people, but you know what? at the same time it rules. I generally can make anything versatile.. give me a floppy hat, a pair of Elton John sunnies, a pair of overalls and doc martens. I will whip up something.
5. What’s in your Itunes ‘recently added’ playlist?
I’m looking at it now and it’s funny because you can see the stages of genres I go through, down the bottom is Mos Defs “Black on both sides” album (genius), then I’ve got The Doors, Black Sabbath, Arcade Fire, as well as some great Aussie bands like Crowded House, INXS.
6. What films genres are you into? What are your top 3 all time favourite films?
That is ridiculously hard to answer. That’s like asking what my 3 favourite bands are! But I would have to say my favourite genres are , Biography films alluding to a particular historical person, Documentary films, Comedy, Drama, Adventure, Coming of age etc.. One of my favourite films would have to be The Beach (I’ve read the book and have watched this, no joke, probably over 100 times since i was little, it’s given me a whole other perspective on life). I’ve gotta chuck an 80s classic flick in there, 16 candles with Molly Ringwald, and the Woodstock documentary is brilliant. I recently watched ‘Wolf of Wall Street’, which is hilarious!
8. Tell us about your hobbies…
I live and breathe music, so I’m always studying the history of music, I take that as a hobby of mine. I’ve learnt to DJ which is good fun when I have decks to play with. I work out, and absolutely love to dance, especially at a good live performance.
9. What’s your staple item (clothing)? What do you take out the door with you every day?
I had to ask my family this and they all just stopped with blank looks like I was an idiot and said hat, or sunglasses. I guess they’re right.
10. Are you an accessories person? If so, what kind? Watches? Jewellery? Hats?
Oh most definitely! I wear my gypsy rings (as my dad calls them) every day without a doubt. They never come off my fingers. I also love wide brim hats and floppy hats, I have one draw dedicated to only my sunglasses. Love belts as well!
11. How do you think your city/home has influenced your style?
I honestly can’t say my home town has influenced my style. I think I, myself, have dressed my own way for a long time with just my own personal opinion on fashion.
12. What style advice have you inherited from your mum/dad?
My mum and dad were born in the 50s so grew up in the 60s, 70s and 80s. It’s great having a mum that gets your style! She loves the flare jeans and bell sleeve dresses that hang up in my wardrobe.
13. Who are you following on instagram? (top 5)
Olivia Lopez is my favourite blogger, Monster Children, Arrow_Divine, 70seightiesand90s, and My pals from Lifewithoutandy.
