STYLE FILES // REBECCA JOBSON.

Meet Bec | PA | Bondi

1. Please introduce yourself…
Rebecca Lea Jobson; 24; Personal Assistant

2. Where are you from? (heritage and current city of residence)
Filipino/Spanish/English/Australian. Born and raised in Australia

3. Describe your style…
It changes like the weather. I find I’m too indecisive to stick to one sort of style. It’s very relaxed. I’m definitely one for comfort, so the looser the better.

4. Where do you shop? (online, at the markets, favourite stores)
I rarely get the time to shop anymore, so online is the go. Net-A-Porter is the best and worst thing that ever happened to me! I do love when I get to take the time to go out and shop. The intersection in Paddington makes it pretty easy, everything is there all in one spot. I love to hit my favourite boutique
Captial L on Oxford st.

5. What’s in your iTunes ‘recently added’ playlist?
It’s a mixed bunch. Right now I can’t get the single “All Of Me” – by John Legend off repeat. I also got the new Beyonce self-titled album as I was lucky enough to appear in one of the film clips she released with the CD. And then there’s the Brian Jonestown Massacre – Singles Collection.

6. What films genres are you into? What are your favourite films?
Anything Tarantino. That guy is a genius. My favourite all time movie would have to be Pulp Fiction,┬ábut I’m a sucker for a good rom com. I recently watched The Perks Of Being A Wallflower and I was a blubbery mess on the couch; in the best sort of way.

7. What are you reading at the moment?
Sadly enough, I barely find the time to read. The longest thing I can find time to read are magazines – Elle and Vogue are my staples.

8. Tell us about your hobbies…
I pretty much live and breathe the beach. I wake up just before sunrise every single morning and do the coastal Bondi to Bronte walk, and then go to work, come home and do the same walk then go for a swim and go to bed. I can’t really stand being caught up inside. I love getting out and being adventurous when I get a second off work. I just started doing Stand Up Paddle Boarding Yoga, which sounds much harder than it is. Killing two birds with one stone – tanning and training. Perfect.

9. What’s your staple item of clothing? What do you take out the door with you every day?
A good pair of vintage Levi denim shorts, and a BASSIKE singlet.

10. Are you an accessories person? If so, what kind? Watches? Jewellery? Hats?
I love sunglasses, big giant sunglasses. If I didn’t lose a pair every two seconds my house would be full of them. I love a good Akubra by Bec & Bridge, and a simple ring set to complete an outfit.

11. How do you think your city/home has influenced your style?
I guess my look is relaxed because I grew up in a beachy town.

12. What style advice have you inherited from your mum/dad?
My mum was always a big vintage shopper, she would take me to second hand stores and I would whinge and complain about not having the latest things that everyone else had. I finally understand, and now I love finding a great vintage piece.
